1. Advantages of inductive filtering circuit:

(1) when the input voltage increases, the current in the inductor in series with the load increases, so the inductor will store part of the magnetic field energy, when the current decreases, the energy will be released, so that the load current becomes smooth, therefore, the inductor also has the effect of flat waves.

(2) make use of the characteristic that the current of the inductor of energy storage element cannot be mutated, and connect an inductor in series in the load circuit of rectifier circuit, so that the output current waveform is relatively smooth.

(3) since the inductance has a small impedance to dc and a large impedance to ac, better filtering effect can be obtained and the dc loss is small.

2. The disadvantage of inductive filtering circuit is large volume and high cost.

According to the difference of impedance between ac and dc, the inductance filter circuit consists of capacitor and inductance. Because the capacitor is open to dc and has little impedance to ac, the capacitor is connected in parallel at both ends of the load.Inductors have small dc impedance and large ac impedance, so inductors should be in series with the load.A capacitor in parallel charges itself when the input voltage rises, storing part of its energy in the capacitor. When the input voltage drops, the voltage at both ends of the capacitor discharges exponentially, releasing the stored energy.
